Concept

A quiet figure recedes behind a book as flowers and color gather around her, holding the warmth of a passing moment.

Artist Note

I painted the figure disappearing behind the book as a moment in the process of passing. Flowers and color gather around her, while a trace of warmth remains like light on the page.
