Artist Statement

My paintings explore the quiet moments where presence gathers and slowly drifts away.

I am interested in light, atmosphere, and the feeling that every beautiful moment is temporary. Rather than telling a story, I create spaces where viewers can pause and simply experience what remains.

When beauty fades, something unseen still lingers. I paint that quiet light—the trace that cannot be held, yet never completely disappears.

Biography

Chloe Heeseok Oh is a Korean-born painter based in Edmonton, Canada. Her work explores light, atmosphere, and the quiet traces that remain after beautiful moments have passed. Through oil painting, she creates contemplative spaces where presence, memory, and emotion gently unfold.

She has exhibited in Korea, Italy, and Canada, and continues to develop her current series exploring presence, light, and impermanence.
